Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Endicott Johnson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ping Pong!
The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Luis Engracia and Felipe Paraventi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson keeps the fight on the outside.
Pong tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Johnson manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Pong gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Johnson to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Pong is looking to stand up but Johnson isn't so interested in that idea.
Pong really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Johnson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Pong keeping moving, preventing Johnson from controlling successfully.
Johnson wants to pass the guard but Pong is keeping the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Pong wants to stand and escape but Johnson is having none of it.
Johnson stands and throws Pong's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Johnson lands a few punches from side control.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Pong dodges the ground and pound from Johnson.
Johnson advances to mount.
Pong is trying to get back to his feet but can't.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Johnson looking to secure an arm triangle but Pong defends it well.
Pong has given up his back.
Pong trying to get back to his feet but Johnson is in full control for now.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Johnson throws a big right hand but he misses and hits the mat. Ouch.
Even with his hooks in, Johnson manages to miss with strikes from the back.
Pong is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.
Johnson is riding his opponent, not letting Pong buck him off.

Johnson is working the back position looking for the choke. Oh, he's slid into an armbar! Beautiful transition and Pong taps out! Fantastic Jiu Jitsu from Johnson.
