The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fortier looks for a takedown but Kolmas sprawls well.
Fortier misses with a wild combination.
Fortier avoids the head kick by Kolmas.
Fortier walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
A nice inside leg kick there by Kolmas. That's going to slow Fortier down.
Fortier goes for a double leg but Kolmas avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Kolmas continues to drive forward.
Fortier jumps guard but Kolmas stands there with Fortier around his waist. Fortier gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Ramses Kolmas has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Granville Fortier.
Kolmas scores with a hook to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Kolmas.

Kolmas lands a hook that snaps the head of Fortier backwards.
It looks like Granville Fortier has been cut.

Kolmas floors Fortier with a big punch on the inside! Fortier is trying to recover but Kolmas dives into side control.
Fortier is rocked!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kolmas is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Fortier is trying to escape and Kolmas transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Fortier is forced to tap! Nice work there by Kolmas! Very nice indeed!
