Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Lewis Rampage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Minoru Suzuki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lewis Rampage has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Lewis Rampage! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Minoru Suzuki! The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Roger Salmon and Paul Gruel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A head kick misses from Suzuki. Rampage throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Suzuki pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Suzuki throws a right and a left that both miss. Suzuki lands a head kick. Rampage smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Rampage throws the kick towards the body but Suzuki avoids it. Rampage takes a head kick and keeps coming.
A right-left combo lands from Suzuki. Suzuki throws a combination that misses and Rampage moves into the clinch. Suzuki wants to get back to striking at distance but Rampage won't allow it.
Rampage goes for a takedown attempt but Suzuki pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Suzuki throws a half hearted mid kick. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Rampage shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Suzuki napping and manages to drive through into side control! Suzuki pushes Rampage away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Rampage gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rampage is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Suzuki has escaped the position, nice work there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rampage working the body and head with strikes. Rampage lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Suzuki down.
Suzuki is trying to control Rampage's posture but Rampage avoids it. Rampage has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Suzuki is looking for a sweep. Suzuki is not content to let Rampage control the position. Rampage is staying tight to Suzuki's torso, preventing him from escaping. Suzuki is not content to let Rampage control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rampage tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. The strikes coming from Rampage are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Rampage happy to just control the position for now. Suzuki is looking to reverse the position. Rampage knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Suzuki on the ground. Rampage is trying to get an arm triangle but Suzuki is defending well. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rampage is looking to take a break and control but Suzuki is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Rampage tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Rampage has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Suzuki is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Rampage asserts his dominance and retains side control. Rampage working the head and body with strikes. Suzuki wants to control but Rampage postures up. Rampage is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Suzuki has escaped the position, nice work there. Suzuki is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Rampage tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Suzuki regains half guard. Rampage with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Suzuki is refusing to be controlled, as Rampage sits in half guard. Suzuki has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Rampage is working away from the top position though. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Suzuki actively working from the bottom here. Rampage is looking to take a break and control but Suzuki is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Lewis Rampage will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Nice escape there! Minoru Suzuki seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Rampage keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Rampage shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Suzuki is trying to defend but Rampage finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Suzuki is trying to stand.

Lewis Rampage overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Suzuki wants to control but Rampage is keeping busy.
Rampage is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Suzuki defends it well. Rampage is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Suzuki is looking to improve his position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Rampage with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Suzuki is pressing down on Rampage's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Suzuki looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Rampage trying to control the position from guard on top but Suzuki is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Suzuki has his foot on Rampage's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Rampage works his way back into a safe position though. Suzuki had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Rampage defends it easily. Suzuki working for a triangle but Rampage defends it easily.
Our spies down at at Great Bash Heel inform us that Suzuki has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off? Rampage has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Suzuki is breathing heavily.

Suzuki tries to land a sweep but no joy. Suzuki not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Rampage is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Rampage has gone for a leg lock! Suzuki slips out almost immediately though and dives into Rampage's guard. Rampage wants to sweep here but Suzuki controlling him for the moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Suzuki wants to control from the top but Rampage keeps moving. Suzuki makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Suzuki accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Suzuki gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Suzuki misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

and Rampage counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Suzuki! Rampage stands up and beckons Suzuki to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Lewis Rampage will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Rampage has Suzuki pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Suzuki manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Suzuki using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Rampage has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Rampage takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rampage fails with a takedown attempt. Rampage tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Suzuki manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Suzuki cracks Rampage with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rampage fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lewis Rampage. That's going to take a lot out of him. Suzuki looks to land a left hand but Rampage moved out of range nicely. Suzuki is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Rampage. Rampage shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Suzuki is trying to defend but Rampage finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Suzuki trying to control from the bottom.

Suzuki pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Suzuki throws a series of punches but Rampage avoids them all with ease. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Suzuki.
Suzuki throws a jab when Rampage was well out of range. Rampage tries to score a power double leg takedown but Suzuki sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Rampage somewhat. Suzuki looks to land a combination. Rampage sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Minoru Suzuki is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Both fighters are breathing heavily. This has been an exciting period of action! Rampage blocks a head kick by Suzuki.

Rampage will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Rampage blocks the body kick.
Rampage blocks a leg kick. Rampage changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Suzuki looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Suzuki struggling a bit here. Suzuki seems a little lost for a moment, as Rampage dominates the positioning. Suzuki tries to buck Rampage off but Rampage is having none of it. Lewis Rampage is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Suzuki stops Rampage from passing to mount. Rampage lands a decent elbow from side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Suzuki is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Rampage is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Suzuki has escaped the position, nice work there. Rampage looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Suzuki misses with an elbow from the bottom. Suzuki striking from the bottom but nothing landed.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Minoru Suzuki. I think Rampage has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
