Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Edward Folayang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chance Spong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Edward Folayang!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Chance Spong!
The judges for this bout are Josh West, Paul Gruel and Chris Saunders.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Folayang throws a head kick but Spong moves out of range.
Folayang ducks under a wild hook from Spong.
A head kick misses from Folayang.
Spong blocks a head kick by Folayang.
Spong steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Folayang. That one must have hurt.
Folayang seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Folayang lands with an uppercut that bounces Spong off the cage and back into range.
Spong blocks a head kick by Folayang.

Spong clinches up with Folayang and pushes him back against the cage.
Spong prevents Folayang from breaking the clinch.

Folayang misses with a head kick.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Folayang avoids the body shot from Spong.

Spong is putting a hurting on Folayang here, landing some big shots from side control.

Spong is trying to get an arm triangle but Folayang is defending well.
Spong lands a decent elbow from side control.

Folayang is rocked!

Folayang tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Spong wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Spong lands a few punches from side control.
Oh Folayang is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Folayang seems to have got his legs back now.
Spong lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Folayang down.
Spong looks up at the clock and then as Folayang takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Spong smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Spong is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Folayang knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Spong is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Folayang is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Spong has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Folayang is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Spong has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Spong advances nicely into full mount.
Spong avoids the attempt from Folayang to control.
Spong looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Spong in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Folayang tries to reverse the position but Spong maintains control.
Spong pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Spong loads up with a big shot that hurts Folayang! He's pulled Spong in close but Spong has postured up and lands more strikes. Can Folayang survive? More strikes from Spong and Folayang is out! The ref jumps in to save him! Brutal ground and pound!
