Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gabriel Gray (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marvis Yorker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Marvis Yorker is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Gabriel Gray! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Marvis Yorker! The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Jonathan Paton and Dean Styles.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Gray checks a leg kick. Yorker changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Gray looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Yorker lands a decent elbow from side control. Gray can't do much from the bottom here. Gray manages to work his way to half guard, despite Yorker's best efforts. Gray regains full guard. Nicely done. Yorker stands up over Gray, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Yorker controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Yorker throws an elbow that misses. Gray uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Yorker's guard. Nice move by Gray! Yorker looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gray trying to control but Yorker is working from the bottom. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Yorker can do anything to dispel that myth. Yorker has control of Gray's left arm, preventing Gray from doing any damage. Yorker utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Gray trying to control but Yorker is working from the bottom. Yorker has Gray pulled in close to control his posture. Gray wants to stand but Yorker is controlling his posture from full guard.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Gray fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Yorker defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Gray. Yorker misses with a low kick. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Gray. Yorker throws a predictable looking body shot
and Gray counters with a series of strikes. Yorker will be more careful next time no doubt.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Gray had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Yorker defends it easily. Yorker sitting in guard here, content to control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Yorker is working Gray over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Yorker won't allow Gray to get back to his feet. Yorker is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Yorker's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Yorker won't allow Gray to sweep him here.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Yorker closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Yorker lands a nice short elbow. Yorker landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Yorker with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Marvis Yorker dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
No luck for Gray with that takedown attempt. Yorker shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Gray defends it nicely. Gray checks a low kick from Yorker. Yorker dives in and scores a takedown into Gray's guard. Yorker cracks Gray with a solid left hand. Yorker working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Gray's head. Gray has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Yorker can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Yorker slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Yorker is continuing to stall.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Gray lands a jab to the head.
It looks like Marvis Yorker has been cut. Gray drives through and clinches with Yorker against the cage.
Gray prevents the takedown attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Yorker is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Gabriel Gray has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marvis Yorker. Yorker drops down looking for an ankle pick but Gray pulls his leg out and moves away.
Gray fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Gray moves in looking to clinch but Yorker pushes him off. Gray closes the distance and clinches up with Yorker, looking for a takedown. Gray pushes Yorker against the cage but Yorker circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Gray thows a left - swing and a miss! Gray swinging wildly here.
Yorker tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Gray was well out of range. Poor timing from Yorker. Yorker stuffs the takedown attempt from Gray. Gray gets slowly back to his feet. Yorker shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Yorker scoring with some ground and pound.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Yorker controlling from the top position. Let's hope that Yorker has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Gray is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Yorker is aware though and is defending well. Yorker connects with a couple of short punches. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Yorker slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Gabriel Gray is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Yorker misses with a head kick.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Gray misses with a takedown attempt - Yorker sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Gray stuffs the takedown. Gray misses with a wild body shot. Yorker avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Gray tries to clinch up. Gabriel Gray is winning the standup battle so far. Gray doesn't manage to clinch there - Yorker circles away.
Yorker feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Yorker stops Gray from standing up. Yorker scoring with punches to the head and body. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Yorker slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Marvis Yorker showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Marvis Yorker's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
Yorker throws a body punch but Gray moves out of range. Yorker keeps the fight on the outside. Gray shoots in but Yorker avoids the takedown attempt easily. Gray lands a glancing blow to the side of Yorker's head. Gray dives in and grabs Yorker's left leg, looking for a takedown. Yorker pushes down on Gray's head and hops out. Yorker closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Gray did well to prevent Yorker getting side control. Yorker lands with a punch from half guard. Yorker slows the pace down in half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Yorker working over Gray with some ground and pound. Gray looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Yorker has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Yorker content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Yorker is nestled in close to Gray, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Gray trying to control from the bottom.
Gray wants to get back to full guard. Yorker lands strikes from half guard. Yorker is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Gray tries to get to full guard but Yorker has control of the leg.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Yorker keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Yorker shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Gray's guard. Yorker looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Yorker postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Yorker with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Gray is trying to keep Yorker in close.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Yorker must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Gray keeping full guard, as Yorker tries to pass.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Nice takedown defense from Gray. No joy for Yorker on that attempt. Gray gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Yorker to score an easy takedown into full guard. Yorker postures up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Yorker sitting in guard here, content to control. Gray controls Yorker momentarily but Yorker frees himself. Yorker is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
And that's the end of the fight! Marvis Yorker comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Yorker winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
