Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Loke Sabel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matthew Mohn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Loke Sabel!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Matthew Mohn!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, John Roberts and Franklyn Lucas.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mohn doesn't manage to clinch there - Sabel circles away.
Sabel really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Sabel closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Mohn to the mat! Mohn manages to get full guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mohn is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Sabel shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Mohn manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Sabel has his foot on Mohn's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Mohn works his way back into a safe position though.

Sabel goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Mohn has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Sabel but great work by Mohn.

Mohn is looking to take a break and control but Sabel is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Loke Sabel dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Mohn shoots in and drives through. Sabel sprawls well.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Mohn is defended easily by Sabel.
Mohn looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Sabel is fending him off so far but Mohn persists. Nope, Sabel circles away and we're back to standing.
Loke Sabel has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Matthew Mohn.

Sabel got a little sloppy there for a moment and Mohn has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Sabel has managed to get both his arms back between Mohn's legs - danger averted.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Mohn can do anything to dispel that myth.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Sabel has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Mohn can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Sabel wants to control the position but Mohn says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
Mohn content to control rather than advance.

Sabel is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Mohn scores with a couple of nice shots.
Sabel wants to stand back up but Mohn manages to pass into side control.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Mohn holds on and takes a little breather.

Sabel shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Mohn pinned against the cage. Mohn gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Mohn is looking to work his way around to Sabel's back. He needs to be careful though, as he's in danger of losing this dominant position.
Mohn takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Mohn is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Sabel can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Sabel tries to reverse the position but Mohn maintains control.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Sabel bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Matthew Mohn comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
