Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Apio Okafor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thuam Chaka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Okafor comes to the cage accompanied by how i could just kill a man. The crowd seem to be enjoying Chaka's choice of entrance music: Heart of a Champion. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Apio Okafor! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
20 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Thuam Chaka! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Robert Twigg and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Okafor scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Chaka displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Okafor throws out the jab. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Okafor pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Chaka shoots in for a double leg but Okafor sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Chaka goes for a double leg but Okafor avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Okafor continues to drive forward. Okafor gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Chaka.
Apio Okafor has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Thuam Chaka. Okafor tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Okafor misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Chaka.
Chaka jumps guard but Okafor turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Okafor crunches a lovely knee into Chaka's ribcage. Chaka has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Okafor landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Okafor. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A right hand to the body from Okafor.
Okafor scores with a knee to the head.
Okafor breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Okafor scores with a slapping inside leg kick. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Okafor throws a lazy right hand but Chaka sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Chaka takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
That's one minute gone in the round. Okafor misses with an uppercut
and Chaka counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Chaka. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Okafor is working an open guard so Chaka takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Nice takedown defense from Okafor. No joy for Chaka on that attempt. Okafor really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Okafor misses with a head kick.

Chaka dives in for a single leg takedown but Okafor sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Chaka takes a shot to the head. Chaka ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Chaka no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Chaka is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. We've been hearing good reports from Okafor's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Chaka looking for a guillotine here but Okafor defends easily.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Okafor trying to control but Chaka is working from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Chaka wants to sweep here but Okafor controlling him for the moment. Chaka working for a triangle but Okafor defends it easily.
Chaka looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Chaka has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Okafor should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Chaka has tightened it up now! Okafor should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Thuam Chaka! A very excited looking Thuam Chaka made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
