Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lay Pray (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Matrix (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pray comes to the cage accompanied by Don't Fear the Reaper- Blue Oyster Cult. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
15 - 36 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Lay Pray! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
15 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, John Matrix! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Tiny Johnson and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pray falls off balance throwing a combination
and Matrix counters with an inside leg kick. Pray shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Matrix defends it nicely. Pray tries for a takedown but Matrix circles away easily and Matrix counters with a good low kick that Pray was not able to check. Pray tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Matrix defends well and Pray ends up having to push Matrix into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lay Pray. That's going to take a lot out of him. Matrix lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage. Pray is breathing heavily. Pray's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Matrix has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. A good leg kick by Matrix. Pray fails with the takedown and Matrix counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters. Matrix lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Oooooh!!! Matrix has knocked Pray down with a huge combo! Matrix steps away and waves a wobbly Pray back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
It looks like Lay Pray has been cut. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! A jab from Matrix finds it's way through Pray's defenses. Matrix throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Matrix lands with a thumping leg kick.
Pray on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pray misses the shot to the body. Matrix lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Pray misses with a takedown and Matrix counters with an inside leg kick. The crowd cheers as Matrix lands an impressive looking overhand right. Pray doesn't seem phased though. Matrix fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Pray on the side of the head.
Pray is rocked! That kick from Matrix tenderised Pray's leg. Pray is trying to keep his angry face on. Oh Pray is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Matrix moves in close and cracks Pray with a massive right hand! Pray, frozen momentarily in time, tumbles to the canvas, already out cold! A brutal knockout by Matrix!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). John Matrix! An out of breath John Matrix thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
