The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Garcia closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Garcia has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Aragus fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Garcia manages to avoid it.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Garcia goes for a double leg but Aragus avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Aragus continues to drive forward.

I was talking to Aragus's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Aragus clobbers Garcia with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Aragus throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Garcia was covering up waiting for the punch and Aragus finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Garcia isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Aragus stacks Garcia on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Aragus!

Aragus remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
