Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jermain Leaseau (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Best (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jermain Leaseau! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Johnny Best! The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Ren Mimura and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Leaseau closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Best did well to prevent Leaseau getting side control. Leaseau is trying to control the action in half guard but Best is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Best wants to get back to his feet.
Best is looking for a sweep. Leaseau is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Best tries to get to full guard but Leaseau has control of the leg. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Best wants to get back to his feet.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Best is looking to control Leaseau's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Best avoid being mounted?
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Leaseau shoots in for a takedown but Best shows good takedown defense. Best takes a swing at Leaseau's ribcage but misses. Best misses with a wild body shot. Best just misses with a punch to the body.
Best throws a looping overhand right but Leaseau ducks down to avoid it. Best swings and misses with a hook to the body.

A looping hook to the body misses from Best. Leaseau does a little dance to reset his feet. Leaseau wants to clinch up but Best keeps it at a distance. Best moves out of range as Leaseau strikes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Leaseau. Leaseau shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Best but Best pushes him off and we're back to square one. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jermain Leaseau. That's going to take a lot out of him. Best throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
A punch combination from Leaseau misses. Best tries to sprawl but Leaseau drives through with a takedown into half guard. Best is trying to stand.
Leaseau sitting and controlling from the half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Leaseau is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Best has managed to free his arm - good work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Best pushes Leaseau off looking to stand but Leaseau dives back in and keeps control.
Best is staying active underneath Leaseau, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Best has his hands clasped together around Leaseau's back. He's all about the action.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Best swings for the body but Leaseau moves out of range.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Leaseau is looking to clinch. Best tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Leaseau manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Leaseau is defended easily by Best. Leaseau tries to keep at a distance but Best has taken the fight into the clinch. Leaseau fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Leaseau tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Leaseau is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Best pulls him back up using the underhooks. Best gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Leaseau.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Jermain Leaseau will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Leaseau shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Best sprawls well. Best wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Leaseau gets slowly back to his feet. Best has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Leaseau is landing a low percentage of strikes. A telegraphed right hand from Best misses the target. Best connects with a jab. Best misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Leaseau.
Jermain Leaseau is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Best scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Leaseau keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Best shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Leaseau is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Best has his hands clasped together but Leaseau extends and breaks Best's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Leaseau.
