Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Xaro Polara (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Sanders (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Xaro Polara has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sanders blocks a leg kick.
Polara throws a front kick aimed at Sanders's knee but Sanders avoids it well.

Sanders closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Polara did well to prevent Sanders getting side control.

Sanders is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Polara defends it well.

Sanders throws an elbow that misses. Polara uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Sanders's guard. Nice move by Polara!

Sanders working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Polara doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Polara manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Sanders isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Polara stacks Sanders on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Polara!

Polara moves into side control, avoiding a weak kimura attempt from Sanders.

Polara wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Sanders, who protects the arm well.

Polara is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Sanders knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
