Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Nick Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Gable (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dan Gable has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dan Gable!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Bruno Lombardi and Reed Andrews.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gable has managed to clinch.

Gable wants the takedown. Johnson is fighting it off but Gable persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Johnson's guard against the cage.

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.

Gable tightens his grip and picks Johnson up, before dumping him to the ground. Johnson manages to land in guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Gable turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Gable manages to end up in side control.

Gable seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Gable sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Johnson is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Gable is looking to take a break and control but Johnson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Gable is nestled in close to Johnson, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
