Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, James Sheperd!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Wu Kong!
The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kong pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Kong moves into the clinch.
Kong goes for a takedown attempt but Sheperd pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Kong throws a leg kick that misses.
Sheperd lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.


It looks like Wu Kong has been cut.
A head kick misses from Sheperd.
Kong throws a leg kick but Sheperd moved away.
Kong tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Sheperd was well out of range. Poor timing from Kong.
Sheperd is trying hard to land a takedown here. Kong sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sheperd tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Kong swivels and escapes.
Kong throws a right and a left that both miss.
Sheperd avoids a kick to the body.
Sheperd tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Kong manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Sheperd blocks a low kick nicely.
Sheperd uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Kong.

Kong has closed the distance and engaged Sheperd in a clinch.
Kong looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Kong stalling in the clinch.
Kong has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Sheperd after a bit of a struggle.
Kong is stalling here.

Sheperd pulls guard successfully.
Kong is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kong's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
More stalling from Kong.
Kong prevents Sheperd from getting back to his feet.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Sheperd needs to keep his hands up - Kong had a free shot at his head there.


It looks like James Sheperd has been cut.
Kong lands a jab to the nose.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Kong's jab looks to have found its range, popping Sheperd under the eye.


Sheperd is rocked!
Kong is stalking Sheperd. Sheperd circles to his left. Keeps circling left. Bam! Straight right from Kong, and it's lights out! Sheperd really payed the price for that rookie mistake.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:14 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Wu Kong!
An intense looking Wu Kong took to the microphone post fight and gave a little speech: 'Improve your skills! Then find me again.'.
