Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Burt Conley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Hart (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Burt Conley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, John Hart!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, John Roberts and Eddie Farnsworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hart has his takedown stuffed
and Conley counters with a one-two to the body.
Conley really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Conley shoots and misses

and Hart counters by clinching up.

Hart gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.

Conley is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Hart defends well.
Conley is looking to stand up but Hart isn't so interested in that idea.
Conley keeping moving, preventing Hart from controlling successfully.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Conley utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Hart wants to get up but he can't break Conley's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Hart keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Conley's head.
Hart is looking to stand up but Conley won't let him.
Hart working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Conley's head.
Hart has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Conley is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Conley is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Hart is controlling him.

Conley looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Hart checks a low kick from Conley.

Hart gets the takedown into side control.
Conley knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hart on the ground.
Conley is not content to let Hart control the position.

Hart is trying to get an arm triangle but Conley is defending well.
You can see the frustration on Conley's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Hart wants to lay and pray for a moment but Conley keeps working.
Hart is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Conley is trying to get back to half guard.

Conley tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Hart wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Hart working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Conley is letting Hart control him for a moment.
Hart tries to stand but Conley is controlling his head.

Hart decides to stand back up.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Hart gets a clinch.
Conley misses with a hook from the clinch.
Hart on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

John Hart dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Conley tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Hart avoids it.
Conley trying to stall but Hart improves his position.
Conley stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Conley wants to get back to striking at distance but Hart won't allow it.

Conley lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Hart or not.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hart wants the takedown. Conley is fighting it off but Hart persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Conley's guard against the cage.

Conley wants to control but Hart passes easily into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hart works his foot free and advances to mount.
Hart content just to control the position here.

Hart is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Conley has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Conley can't escape the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Hart scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Conley?
Hart thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!

Hart lands a nice shot to the head.
Hart looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.

Conley is rocked!
Conley tries to buck Hart off but he can't manage it.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Hart is landing with some decent strikes but Conley is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Oh Conley is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hart looking to control and managing it successfully.
Let's hope that Hart has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Conley wants to control but Hart is having none of it.

Hart has hold of an arm here, looking to extend it. He's committed to the armbar attempt here! Will he get it?! Yes! Conley is forced to tap!
