Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kris Polden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thomas Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Johnson comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Voodoo People kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Thomas Johnson will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

31 - 30 - 1, fighting out of London, Thomas Johnson! The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Daniel Bishop and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice straight punches there by Polden. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Polden. Polden fails to land with a series of punches.
Polden tries to clinch up so Johnson counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Johnson prevents Polden from getting back to his feet. Johnson engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Johnson trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Johnson working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Polden wants to stand but Johnson is controlling the position. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Johnson dives in and grabs Polden's left leg, looking for a takedown. Polden pushes down on Johnson's head and hops out. Polden avoids the head kick by Johnson.
Polden throws a poor cross that misses
and Johnson counters with a low kick, right behind Polden 's knee. Polden misses with the combination.
Johnson scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
It looks like Kris Polden has been cut.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Polden throws a series of strikes that have Johnson backpedaling.
Polden gets tackled into the cage by Johnson. Johnson maintains the clinch. Polden misses with a punch to the body.
Johnson is trying to drag Polden to the mat but Polden just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Polden goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
A short right from Polden. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Polden prevents the takedown attempt.
Kris Polden has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Thomas Johnson. Polden gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Johnson.
Johnson prevents Polden from breaking the clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Polden is trying to break the clinch but Johnson has him pressed against the cage. Polden misses with a punch on the inside.
Johnson tightens his grip and picks Polden up, before dumping him to the ground. Polden manages to land in guard. Polden might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Johnson won't allow Polden to get back to his feet. Johnson pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Polden is keeping the position for now. Johnson works over Polden with some ground and pound from guard. Polden could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Johnson stays in close to Polden's body and controls the position. Johnson lands a couple of elbows. Polden on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Polden tries to get out of the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Johnson wants to pass the guard but Polden is keeping the position. Johnson landing with the ground and pound. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Johnson passes easily into side control. Nice work. Polden is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Ground Zero, London that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet. Johnson in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.

Jeez, Kris Polden's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Kris Polden's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Thomas Johnson! After winning the bout, Thomas Johnson thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
