Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between The Can (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lyoto Parks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
18 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, The Can! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
17 - 7 - 1, fighting out of London, Lyoto Parks! The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Phil Schofield and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Can misses with a hook
and Parks counters with a right hand to the body. Can has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Parks takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Can misses with a hook. Parks ducked under it nicely. Parks ducks under a wild hook from Can. Parks blocks a jab. Can gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Parks misses the shot to the body. Can defending well as Parks loads up on a big left hand. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Parks looks to land a right hand but Can moved out of range. Can throws a looping overhand right but Parks ducks down to avoid it. Parks drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Parks has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Can gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Can looking for a sweep. Not yet Can, not yet. Parks wants to control from the top but Can keeps moving. Can looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Can wants to get back to his feet but Parks is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Parks keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Can's head. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Parks is looking to work some ground and pound but Can has wrist control. Can working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Parks. Can on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Can tries to get out of the position. Parks throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Can works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Can preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Can keeping moving, preventing Parks from controlling successfully.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Can tries to clinch but Parks moves out of range. Parks darts in and clinches Can up against the cage. A head punch on the inside from Parks fails to land. Parks digs a right hand into Can's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Can's gas tank. Can stalling in the clinch but Parks improves position. Parks lands a right hand that snaps the head of Can backwards. Parks is trying to drag Can to the mat but Can just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Parks lands a body punch in the clinch. Parks tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. A left hand lands to the body for Parks.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Parks lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Can backwards. Parks lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Parks scores with an uppercut up the middle. Still in the clinch, Parks scores with a nice short uppercut. Parks lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Parks lands a hook to the side of the head. Parks lands with a left to the head. Parks lands with a short head shot on the inside. Parks working some nice short punches in the clinch. Can misses with a punch on the inside.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Can can't find room to land a body shot as Parks controls the action.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Parks creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Parks lands with a left to the head. A nice right hand lands inside from Parks. Parks lands a left hand that snaps the head of Can backwards. Parks throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. Can tries to throw a body punch but Parks avoids it by throwing Can back against the cage. Can misses with a hook to the ribs.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Lyoto Parks dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Can tries to clinch up. Parks goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
It looks like The Can has been cut. Can closes the distance and pushes Parks back into the cage. Parks gets through Can's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. A short right from Can on the inside. Can swings away with an uppercut that misses.

A short right hand to the side of the head by Parks. Parks is trying to maintain a safe position but Can gets an underhook and turns Parks into the cage. A short left from Parks. Parks lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Parks has been the more effective fighter overall so far. This has been an exciting period of action! Parks tightens his grip and picks Can up, before dumping him to the ground. Can manages to land in guard. Can is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Parks accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
That's one minute gone in the round. Parks lands a couple of decent looking shots. Parks has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Parks pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Can is keeping the position for now. Parks throws a big elbow that misses. Can knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Parks on the ground. Parks with a nice head shot there. Can has momentary wrist control but Parks slips an elbow through the middle. Parks is working Can over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Can avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Parks sitting in guard here, content to control. Parks throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Can works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

It's hard to tell if that hurt Parks or not. Parks gets through Can's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Parks unloads with a big right hand that wobbles Can! He's leaning against the cage trying to keep his feet but Parks is unloading with more strikes now! Can drops to his knees and the referee stops the fight for a TKO!

Our winner, Lyoto Parks, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
