Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ska Asap (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Trinity (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ska Asap has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 1, fighting out of The Island, Ska Asap!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jack Trinity!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, David Hoff and Michael Johnstone.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Trinity shoots for a takedown but Asap saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Trinity closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Asap is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Trinity working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Asap is not content to let Trinity control the position.
Asap definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Trinity looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

Trinity tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Asap tries to get back to half guard but can't.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Asap is trying to improve his position.
Trinity trying to control the action but Asap is working from the bottom.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Asap feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Asap wants to free his trapped foot but Trinity is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Asap seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Trinity for as long as he can get away with.

Trinity holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Asap tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Asap wants to control the pace but Trinity is squirming around nicely.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Trinity gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Asap counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Asap.

Trinity is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Our spies down at at Foot Loves inform us that Trinity has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?

Asap has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Asap drives through with a takedown into Trinity's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

That's time! Asap's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.



Asap shoots in and bounces Trinity off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Trinity bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Asap's guard.

Asap wants to sweep here but Trinity controlling him for the moment.

Trinity stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Asap swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Asap has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Trinity can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Trinity has gone for a leg lock! Asap slips out almost immediately though and dives into Trinity's guard.

Trinity can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Asap controls the pace.
Asap is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Trinity can do to turn this around?

Asap slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Trinity gets caught flat footed, as Asap shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Asap postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Asap controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Asap stands and throws Trinity's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Asap has hold of Trinity's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Trinity seems comfortable defending it but Asap has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Trinity is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Trinity is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Asap couldn't care less - he's delighted!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:55 of round 5, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Ska Asap!
Ska Asap decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
