Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nixy Souch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Romeo Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Romeo Diaz will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Romeo Diaz!
The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Souch closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Diaz quickly recovers to half guard.
Souch trying to mount his opponent but Diaz defends it.
Souch is working hard here to advance position.
Souch wants to take a breather but Diaz is having none of it.
Souch is working for a submission of some sort.
Souch takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Diaz is trying to stand back up but Souch is controlling him

Souch thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Diaz's head.

Diaz regains half guard there - taking advantage of Souch's attempt to lay and pray for a moment.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Souch looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Diaz uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Romeo Diaz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Diaz tries for a takedown but Souch sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Diaz lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Souch circles away quickly and effectively.

Diaz grits his teeth and throws a big right-left combo! Souch takes both shots clean on the chin and is out cold! Diaz cracks him once more on his way down, as the crowd goes wild! They enjoyed that one!
