Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Dave Abbott!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Diego Forfan!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Sam Margolis and Phil Schofield.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Abbott takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Forfan missing with a left hand there. Abbott was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Forfan clinches.
Forfan gets through Abbott's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Abbott wants a takedown but no success here.
Abbott can't find room to land a body shot as Forfan controls the action.
Forfan is pressed up against the cage. Abbott has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Forfan down to the mat. Forfan avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Abbott closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Forfan did well to prevent Abbott getting side control.
Forfan wants to get back to his feet.
Forfan tries to roll over but Abbott keeps him under control.
Forfan tries to kick Abbott off but Abbott keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Forfan desperately trying to maintain half guard.
Abbott thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Abbott is thwarting Forfan's attempts to control the position.
Abbott is taking a breather. Forfan says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Forfan is looking to escape.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Diego Forfan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Abbott manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Forfan on his heels. He'll look to pass Forfan's guard now, I'm sure.
Abbott trying to control the position from guard on top but Forfan is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Forfan has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Abbott has passed into side control.
Abbott wants to lay and pray for a moment but Forfan keeps working.
Abbott lands some shots froms side control.


It looks like Diego Forfan has been cut.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Abbott advances to full mount.
Abbott connects with a couple of good shots from mount.


That has opened up Diego Forfan's cut even more.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Diego Forfan's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Dave Abbott!
