Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Natan Fischer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dereck Catone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Catone has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. The key to victory for Natan Fischer has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Natan Fischer! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dereck Catone! The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Alyssa Summers and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fischer moves in looking to clinch but Catone pushes him off. Fischer shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Catone pinned against the cage. Catone gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Fischer shoots in but no luck this time. Fischer misses with a wild combination.
Catone wants to clinch and Fischer counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Fischer with a lazy takedown attempt and Catone decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Fischer's guard. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Natan Fischer. That's going to take a lot out of him. Catone looks winded! Fischer tries to land a sweep but no joy. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Catone trying to control but Fischer is working from the bottom. Catone stopping the sweep attempt from Fischer.
That's one minute gone in the round. Catone postures up.
Fischer had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Catone defends it easily. Fischer is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Catone controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Fischer closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Catone did well to prevent Fischer getting side control. Fischer wants to stand up but Catone has a hold of him and won't allow it. Catone is staying active underneath Fischer, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fischer misses with a head shot. Catone uses the momentum to regain guard. Fischer trying to control but Catone is working from the bottom. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Catone wants to stand and escape but Fischer is having none of it.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Nice shot lands for Fischer. Fischer with a poor takedown and Catone counters with a single leg into guard. Fischer didn't expect that. Fischer bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Catone's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Fischer trying to stand up but can't free himself from Catone's guard. Fischer passes Catone's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Catone is trying to maintain the position but Fischer is very close to passing his half guard. Catone is not content to let Fischer control the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Catone regains full guard. Nicely done. Catone trying to keep a closed guard but Fischer is proving a slippery customer.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Catone keeping moving, preventing Fischer from controlling successfully. Fischer wants to pass the guard but Catone is keeping the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Natan Fischer will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Catone keeping moving, preventing Fischer from controlling successfully. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Catone is breathing heavily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fischer looking to pass the guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Catone working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Fischer. Catone has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Fischer can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Catone trying to control the position.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Fischer shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Catone is trying to defend but Fischer finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Catone is staying active underneath Fischer, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fischer is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Catone is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
