Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Gwen Towbar and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Leonardson throws a head kick that misses.
Axe tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Leonardson was well out of range. Poor timing from Axe.
No luck for Leonardson with that takedown attempt.
Leonardson swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Leonardson takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Axe ducks under a wild hook from Leonardson.

Axe has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Bi-polar Asylum in the buildup to the fight.
Leonardson throws a leg kick but Axe moved away.
Axe misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Leonardson ducks down and throws a hook to the body.

and Axe counters with a straight right hand.
Leonardson avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Axe creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Leonardson's defenses.
Leonardson's coach down at 11th Planet MMA was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Leonardson's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Leonardson lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Axe backwards.
Leonardson is pushing Axe up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Axe breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Axe throws a right and a left that both miss.
Leonardson misses with a wild body shot.
Axe fails in his attempt to clinch.
Leonardson dives in and grabs Axe's left leg, looking for a takedown. Axe pushes down on Leonardson's head and hops out.
Leonardson uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
A slapping leg kick lands for Axe.
Leonardson buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Leonardson throws a push kick but Axe slaps the foot to one side.

Leonardson lands with a nice combination. Axe backs away looking to recover.

Axe tries to bum rush Leonardson with a series of wild strikes but Leonardson uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Leonardson is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Axe's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

The referee is keeping an eye on Leonardson - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Axe unloads a knee to the mid-section.

Leonardson wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Axe lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.

Axe lands a brutal head kick. Leonardson looks out on his feet and Axe throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!
