Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Freddie Wallace (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luis Baboon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Freddie Wallace has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Freddie Wallace seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Freddie Wallace! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Luis Baboon! The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Edson Gomes and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Baboon fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Wallace manages to avoid it. Wallace gets tackled into the cage by Baboon. Baboon maintains the clinch. Baboon turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Baboon manages to end up in side control. Wallace is letting Baboon control him for a moment. Wallace really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Baboon working the body and head with strikes. Baboon decides to stand back up. Baboon steps back and let's Wallace get back to his feet. Baboon misses with a straight right. Baboon looks to score with a jab to the body but Wallace is just out of range. Wallace misses with a takedown attempt and Baboon counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Baboon sizes up Wallace with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Wallace has his takedown stuffed and Baboon counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Baboon with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Wallace striking from the bottom. Wallace tries to roll over but Baboon keeps him under control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wallace moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Baboon controls from within his opponent's guard. Baboon is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Wallace being controlled here, momentarily. Baboon must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Baboon looking to pass the guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Wallace not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Wallace is defended easily by Baboon. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Freddie Wallace. That's going to take a lot out of him. Baboon shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Baboon showed some decent athleticism there. Baboon takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Baboon lands a nice short elbow.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Baboon wants to control but Wallace is keeping him busy. Baboon slips a nice elbow through Wallace's hands, connecting with Wallace's forehead. Baboon is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Baboon lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Wallace is rocked! Baboon is nestled in close to Wallace, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Oh Wallace is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Baboon stalling. Baboon looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Baboon is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Baboon controlling the action here. Baboon scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Baboon lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Baboon lands a nice short elbow. Baboon looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Baboon landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Baboon lands a big elbow - Wallace is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Baboon!
