Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kain Veldspar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Trendar Mighty (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Tiny Johnson and Stewart Dunkirk.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A combination from Mighty does no damage.
Veldspar shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Mighty as he avoids it easily.

Veldspar postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Mighty is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Veldspar, into his guard.

Veldspar has his foot on Mighty's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Mighty works his way back into a safe position though.
Mighty sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Veldspar's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mighty stands and steps away. Veldspar gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Veldspar drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Mighty manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Veldspar has Mighty in his guard.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Mighty in particular looking to stall.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Mighty fails to land the takedown.

and Mighty holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Veldspar is trying to trip Mighty. He has hold of a leg but Mighty is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Veldspar persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Mighty scrambles and gets back to his feet.

Veldspar shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Veldspar was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Mighty is squirming around, avoiding Veldspar's attempts to control the action.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Veldspar has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Mighty clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Veldspar is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Mighty knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Mighty for a finish.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Veldspar is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Mighty gets his way!

Mighty looking to break Veldspar's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Veldspar remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Mighty will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

Mighty escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Veldspar gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Mighty shoots in and bounces Veldspar off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Trendar Mighty comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Mighty has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
