Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cesaire Perin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Myles Newell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Perin comes into the arena with Survival blaring out of the sound system. Myles Newell is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Cesaire Perin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Myles Newell! The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Dean Styles and Lou da Vinci.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Newell shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Perin could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Perin is looking to control Newell's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Perin avoid being mounted? Newell takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Newell wants to lay and pray for a moment but Perin keeps working. Newell working Perin over with strikes. Perin is staying active underneath Newell, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Newell looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Perin with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Perin is trying to maintain the position but Newell is very close to passing his half guard. Perin is breathing heavily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Newell takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Newell lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Perin tries to kick Newell off but Newell keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Newell scoring with strikes to the body and head. Newell working the head and body with strikes.
Perin is rocked! Newell is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Oh Perin is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Newell is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Perin is hurt! He's hurt bad - Newell fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Perin from any more punishment! Congratulations to Newell! Great finish!
