With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ben Pulse!
The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Dirk Anderson and Winston Alpacca.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pulse throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Pulse misses with a series of wild punches.
Nice sprawl there from Pulse as Crooked shoots in.

Pulse gets tackled into the cage by Crooked. Crooked maintains the clinch.
Pulse being controlled against the cage.
Crooked prevents Pulse from breaking the clinch.

Crooked pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Crooked defending well as Pulse loads up on a big left hand.
Pulse throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Pulse throws a series of punches but Crooked avoids them all with ease.
Crooked misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Crooked shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Pulse defends it nicely.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Crooked. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Crooked is looking to clinch but Pulse is avoiding it.

Horrible takedown attempt by Crooked or perhaps it was just good defense by Pulse, which made it look bad.

Pulse throws an overhand right that lands on Crooked's shoulder, as Crooked tries to avoid the shot.
Crooked is looking to clinch.
Pulse throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Crooked sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Crooked moves out of range as Pulse throws a body kick.
Pulse misses with a series of wild punches.
Pulse lands a head shot.
Pulse throws a hook but Crooked blocks it.

Crooked is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Crooked shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Pulse defends it nicely.
Pulse tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Crooked was well out of range. Poor timing from Pulse.
Pulse uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Crooked has time to react.
Crooked changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Pulse tries to avoid it but Crooked manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Pulse to the ground. Pulse escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Crooked doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Pulse lands a right hook to the body.
Crooked fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Pulse feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Crookeds jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
A looping hook to the body misses from Pulse. Crooked does a little dance to reset his feet.
Crooked on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.

Crooked throws a head kick that misses.
Pulse throws the left hand but Crooked avoids the punch easily.
Pulse connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Pulse throws a looping overhand right but Crooked ducks down to avoid it.
Crooked closes this distance looking for a takedown but Pulse circles away.
Crooked shoots in for a takedown but Pulse shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Crooked misses with a body shot.
Pulse throws a wild body kick that Crooked sees coming a mile off.
Crooked shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Ben Pulse seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Crooked is breathing heavily.
Good shot there by Pulse.
Pulse moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.


John Crooked's cut is getting worse.
We've been informed that Pulse has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Pulse feints with a jab and clips Crooked right behind the ear with a massive overhand right! Crooked is sent crashing into the canvas and Pulse leaps in for the kill! Crooked tries to get to his feet but Pulse is just battering him from every conceivable angle. The ref decides that Crooked is in need of a savior and steps in!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ben Pulse!
