Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Cleo Mayer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Albert Fish (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Cleo Mayer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Albert Fish!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Tiny Johnson and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mayer slips under a jab.
Fish ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Fish looks to throw the jab but Mayer is out of range.
Fish misses with a wild body shot.
Fish thuds his right hand into Mayer's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Mayer takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Fish just misses with a punch to the body.
Good standup being displayed there by Fish as he connects with a hook.
Fish throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Mayer sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Mayer lands with a nice body kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Fish throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Mayer could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Fish lands a nice looking body shot.
Fish throws a body punch but Mayer moves out of range.

Mayer drives through with a takedown into Fish's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mayer decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Fish, up you get!

Mayer feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Mayer stands up and waves to Fish to follow him.
Fish is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.

Mayer shoots for a takedown but Fish saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Mayer takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Fish stuns Mayer with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Fish jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
A looping hook to the body misses from Fish. Mayer does a little dance to reset his feet.
No luck for Mayer with that takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Cleo Mayer. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Mayer smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Fish throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Mayer counters with a body kick that stops Fish in his tracks momentarily.
Mayer tries to bum rush Fish with a series of wild strikes but Fish uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Fish looks to score with a jab to the body but Mayer is just out of range.
A lazy left from Fish finds it's target.
Mayer takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

and Mayer counters with an outside leg kick.
Fish looks to score with a jab to the body but Mayer is just out of range.

Fish looks winded!
Fish scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Mayer doesn't seem bothered though.
Fish misses with a hook. Mayer ducked under it nicely.
Fish connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Mayer's hands.
Mayer fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Fish avoids it really well and circles away.
Fish throws a body shot but no joy.

Fish jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Mayer lands a front kick.
Fish lands a nice shot that snaps Mayer's head back.
Fish throws a body shot but no joy.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Fish misses with an uppercut.
Mayer fails to land the takedown.
Mayer shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Fish pinned against the cage. Fish gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Albert Fish dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

and Mayer holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Fish throws a punch but it's blocked by Mayer.

Mayer jumps guard.
Fish controlling from the top position.
Mayer might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Mayer managing to control the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Mayer had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Fish defends it easily.

Mayer keeping moving, preventing Fish from controlling successfully.
Fish might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Mayer haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Mayer wants to stand but Fish is controlling the position.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Mayer fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Fish keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Mayer takes a shot to the body in his stride.

Fish darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Fish ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Mayer moves away.

and Mayer counters with a good, hard body kick but Fish shrugs it off.
Cleo Mayer is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Fish scores with a hook to the body. Mayer takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Mayer moves forwards but Fish connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Mayer throws a right hand that Fish ducks under and follows up with a left that Fish also avoids with ease.
Fish fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Mayer on the side of the head.
Mayer uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Fish.

and Mayer counters with a nice leg kick.
Mayer slips a straight right by Fish.
Fish tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Mayer was well out of range. Poor timing from Fish.

and Mayer makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Fish really felt that one!

Mayer shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Mayer gets to his feet - Fish follows without any prompting.

Mayer avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Fish has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Mayer.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Fish, as that shot connected.
Mayer throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Fish rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Mayer finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Mayer.

That was a close second round but I would say that Cleo Mayer will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Mayer fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Fish to the ground. Mayer is now in Fish's guard.

Mayer closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Mayer lands in his opponent's guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Fish can do anything to dispel that myth.
Fish can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Mayer controls the pace.
