PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Abe Bradley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joao Beto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Bradley might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Doesn't Remind Me -Audioslave. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Joao Beto!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Wesley Smith and Frank Dennis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bradley throws a nice looking combination but Beto bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Beto.
Beto tries a head kick but it misses.
Beto misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Beto has his takedown stuffed
and Bradley counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Abe Bradley has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joao Beto.
Beto shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Bradley defends it nicely.
Horrible takedown attempt by Beto or perhaps it was just good defense by Bradley, which made it look bad.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Beto shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Bradley leaves Beto with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Bradley throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.

Beto gets tackled into the cage by Bradley. Bradley maintains the clinch.

Bradley pushes Beto up against the cage in a clinch.
Bradley lands a nice elbow.
Beto takes an elbow to the temple.
Bradley lands a nice elbow.

It looks like Joao Beto has been cut.
Beto takes an elbow to the forehead.
Bradley gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Beto has Bradley pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Bradley manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Beto is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Bradley to keep the fight standing.
Beto takes an elbow to the forehead.

Bradley creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Beto's defenses.

Bradley pushes Beto up against the cage in a clinch.

Beto tries to close the distance and clinch up but Bradley swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Beto avoids the head kick by Bradley.

Bradley darts in and clinches Beto up against the cage.

and Bradley counters with a head kick that drops Beto to the mat! Beto scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!

Beto is rocked!
Beto sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Beto is still on wobbly legs! Can Bradley finish him?
Beto is keeping his hands low and just asking to be knocked out. Bradley Raises his leg and lands a stunning axe kick! Beto is out cold, face down on the mat!
