The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lithoxoidis lands with a nice combination. Daley backs away looking to recover.
Daley tries to clinch but Lithoxoidis moves out of range.
Lithoxoidis looks to land a combination. Daley sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Daley gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Lithoxoidis thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Lithoxoidis closes the distance and clinches up with Daley, looking for a takedown. Lithoxoidis pushes Daley against the cage but Daley circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Lithoxoidis motions for Daley to come forward. Lithoxoidis throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.

Lithoxoidis closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Daley tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Lithoxoidis wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Daley throws a couple of punches but he's in a bad position and they don't land.
Daley is looking for a sweep.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Lithoxoidis seems to be working for a kimura but Daley defends the submission attempt.

Daley is looking to stand up but Lithoxoidis isn't so interested in that idea.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Daley doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Daley looking to hit a scissor sweep but Lithoxoidis is one step ahead there.
Daley wants to stand up but Lithoxoidis is controlling him.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Lithoxoidis shoots in and bounces Daley off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Lithoxoidis drops back looking for a leg! Daley is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Daley manages to kick Lithoxoidis off! Lithoxoidis jumps back into Daley's guard.
Daley wants to sweep but no luck.

Daley knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Lithoxoidis on the ground.

Daley misses with a strike from the bottom.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Daley is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
A slow jab from Daley misses its intended target.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Aris Lithoxoidis dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

The fight stays on the outside here - Daley looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Lithoxoidis changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Daley looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Daley tries to bench press Lithoxoidis off him but Lithoxoidis keeps the position.

Lithoxoidis has hold of Daley's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Daley tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Lithoxoidis cranks the arm and Daley screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Daley, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
