Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dexter Dalit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jose Santiago (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Santiago is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by The Rza - Samurai Showdown. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dexter Dalit!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jose Santiago!
The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
An inside leg kick lands from Santiago.
Dalit misses with a wild body shot.
Santiago scores with a leg kick.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
A slow jab from Dalit misses its intended target.
Santiago tries to clinch up.
Santiago lands a nice leg kick that just misses Dalit's sensitive parts.
Dalit throws a right hand that Santiago ducks under and follows up with a left that Santiago also avoids with ease.
Dalit throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Dalit throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Santiago throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
No joy there for Dalit, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
A big left from Dalit misses.
Santiago looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Dalit is fending him off so far but Santiago persists. Nope, Dalit circles away and we're back to standing.
Santiago throws a head kick that misses.
Santiago chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Dalit can pounce on him.
Santiago shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Dalit defends it nicely.
Dexter Dalit seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dalit looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Santiago misses with an uppercut. Dalit saw that one coming.
Santiago moves away from the strike by Dalit.
Santiago on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

That's one minute gone in the round.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Santiago checks a leg kick.
Santiago moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
The fighters circling - Dalit throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Dalit swings for the body but Santiago moves out of range.

Dalit tries to sprawl but Santiago drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Santiago throwing shots but Dalit is blocking nicely.
Dalit avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Santiago.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Santiago throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Santiago is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Santiago is trying for a kimura here. Dalit looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Santiago wins by kimura!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Jose Santiago!
