Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ethan Rivera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rupert Highland (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Ethan Rivera! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Rupert Highland! The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, William Gold and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Highland uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Rivera. Highland has closed the distance and engaged Rivera in a clinch.
Rivera goes for a takedown in the clinch but Highland prevents it.

Rivera is looking to break free of the clinch but Highland has double underhooks. Rivera could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Rivera is looking for a takedown. Rivera goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
The referee is keeping an eye on Rivera - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Highland gets a trip takedown into half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Highland prevents Rivera from improving his position. Well, if Highland is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Highland working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Ground and pound from Highland.
That's one minute gone in the round. Highland controlling the action here. Rivera might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Rivera keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Rivera is trying to stand up here but Highland is controlling him well. Highland prevents Rivera from improving his position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Highland working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Rivera is trying to control but Highland manages to pass to mount!
Rivera is bucking up trying to escape but Highland cracks him with another couple of good strikes. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Highland controlling the position easily from mount. Rivera wants to get back to his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Rivera wants to control but Highland is having none of it. Highland controlling from mount. Rivera tries to reverse the position but Highland maintains control. Rivera trying desperately to get to his feet.
Highland content just to control the position here. Rivera in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Highland lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Highland with good strikes from the mount here! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Highland controlling the pace for now. Rivera tries to reverse the position but Highland maintains control. Rivera is in a horrible position here. Highland smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Highland loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Rivera scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Highland land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Highland stands and salutes the crowd.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rupert Highland!
