The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aroni staying out of range there.
Drago does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Drago uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Aroni.

and Aroni counters with a nice uppercut.
Drago throws a leg kick but Aroni checks it.
Vlad Drago seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Drago turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Aroni throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

and Drago takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

It looks like Vlad Drago has been cut.
Drago walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Aroni checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Aroni cracks a nice hook into Drago's ribs.

Aroni has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Aroni there as he acknowledges the shot.

Drago is looking to land body kicks.

Drago throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Drago fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Aroni is out of range.
Aroni throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Aroni uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Drago.
Drago just misses with a punch to the body.

That has opened up Vlad Drago's cut even more.
Aroni closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Drago! Aroni dives in looking to finish! Drago is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
