Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jose Juarez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Richard Riddick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Juarez comes into the arena with INTRO - DMX blaring out of the sound system. Riddick is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Ture Nature by Jane's Addiction. Jose Juarez has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Riddick throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Juarez stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Riddick throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Juarez.
Riddick swings for the body but Juarez moves out of range.
Riddick scores with a jab. Juarez acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Juarez avoids the body shot from Riddick.
Juarez tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Riddick defends well and Juarez ends up having to push Riddick into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Riddick tries to circle away but Juarez has him pinned against the cage.
Riddick lands a hook to the side of the head.

Juarez wants to take the fight to the mat but Riddick manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Riddick is pushing Juarez up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Riddick tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Riddick looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Riddick is pressed up against the cage. Juarez has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Riddick down to the mat. Riddick avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jose Juarez. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Juarez takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Riddick cracks Juarez with an uppercut from hell and Juarez crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Riddick's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!

Juarez is rocked!
Riddick gets to his feet and stands over Juarez, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Juarez felt that one! Riddick unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Juarez from any more punishment!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Richard Riddick!
