Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Dmitry Gudunov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Jason London Slap Killer! The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, James Glass and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gudunov closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Slap Killer's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Slap Killer wants to stand and escape but Gudunov is having none of it. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Slap Killer can do anything to dispel that myth. Gudunov slips nicely into half guard. Slap Killer wants to get back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Gudunov missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Gudunov stops Slap Killer from getting back to his feet.
Slap Killer keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gudunov thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Slap Killer's head. Gudunov moves nicely into side control. Gudunov trying to control the action but Slap Killer is working from the bottom. That's one minute gone in the round. Gudunov lands an elbow. Slap Killer is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Gudunov has just dragged him back down to the mat. An elbow from Gudunov crashes against the mat.
Gudunov trying to control the action but Slap Killer is working from the bottom. Gudunov lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Slap Killer down.
Gudunov is trying to move to mount but Slap Killer reverses beautifully and ends up in Gudunov's guard. Gudunov is trying to control the position but Slap Killer postures up. In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Slap Killer working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Slap Killer wants to get up but he can't break Gudunov's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Slap Killer won't allow Gudunov to sweep him here. Gudunov is trying to keep Slap Killer in close.

Gudunov postures up and lands a big shot to Slap Killer's brow. Gudunov has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Gudunov wants to control from the top but Slap Killer keeps moving. Gudunov throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. That's four minutes gone in the round. Slap Killer misses the jab. Slap Killer scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Gudunov ducks under a wild hook from Slap Killer. Gudunov is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Slap Killer's half guard. Gudunov thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Slap Killer wants to get back to his feet. Gudunov throwing shots but Slap Killer is blocking nicely. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Gudunov not landing any meaningful shots this time. Gudunov seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Gudunov takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Slap Killer throws a hook but Gudunov blocks it. Slap Killer ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Gudunov fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Slap Killer to the ground. Gudunov is now in Slap Killer's guard. Gudunov throwing strikes but missing. Gudunov won't allow Slap Killer to get back to his feet. Gudunov landing some decent shots from guard. Gudunov wants to control from the top but Slap Killer keeps moving. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gudunov with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Slap Killer keeping moving, preventing Gudunov from controlling successfully.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gudunov advances position into side control! Gudunov scores with punches from side control. Slap Killer is not content to let Gudunov control the position. Slap Killer is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Gudunov is controlling him well. Slap Killer is working to avoid the ground and pound but Gudunov connects with a decent elbow. Gudunov throws an elbow but Slap Killer slips to the side and avoids it well. Dmitry Gudunov overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Slap Killer pushes Gudunov away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Gudunov gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Slap Killer is breathing heavily. Gudunov working the head and body with strikes. Gudunov cracks Slap Killer with an elbow. That is naaassty. Gudunov is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Slap Killer can do to turn this around? Slap Killer dodges the ground and pound from Gudunov. Gudunov scores with punches from side control. Gudunov fails to land a wild elbow strike.

Slap Killer is rocked! Gudunov lands an elbow. Slap Killer is still in real trouble! Can Gudunov finish him? A big shot lands for Gudunov! That's hurt Slap Killer! Will he recover? Gudunov fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:38 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dmitry Gudunov! Dmitry Gudunov tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
