Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Brian Watson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Don Julio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Watson comes to the cage accompanied by Roll Right. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Watson throws a body kick, spinning off balance
and Julio cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Julio cracks the inside of Watson's front leg.
Julio throws a body kick that misses.
Watson throws a right and a left that Julio avoids nicely.
Julio ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Julio throws a series of punches but Watson avoids them all with ease.
Watson fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Julio takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Julio misses the shot to the body.
Julio darts in and out, connecting with a jab.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Julio felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Watson shoots in looking for a takedown. Julio tries to sprawl out of it but Watson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Julio manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
A slapping body kick lands there for Julio.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Watson stops Julio from getting back to his feet.
Watson throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Julio to regain full guard.
Watson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Julio swivels though and keeps the full guard.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Watson throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Julio works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Julio connects with a nice looking jab.

Watson shoots in looking for a takedown but Julio manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Watson's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
