The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A slow jab from Malaya misses its intended target.
Hunt takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Hunt walks forward, straight into a front kick from Malaya.
Hunt lunges at Malaya with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Malaya's hand.
Malaya thumps Hunt with a low kick.
Malaya connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Hunt momentarily.
Hunt throws a hook but Malaya avoids it easily.
Hunt tests Malaya's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Malaya attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Malaya fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Hunt has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Malaya sizes up Hunt with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Simeon Malaya seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
