Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Brandon Couture (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Devon King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Couture comes to the cage accompanied by Mama said knock you out. Devon King told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Devon King!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Steven Brown and James Ackerman.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
King lands an overhand right.
King throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Couture sees it coming and avoids it easily.
King fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Couture takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Couture stuffs the takedown.
King throws out a loose jab but Couture uses good head movement to avoid it.

King fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Couture to the ground. King is now in Couture's guard.
King prevents Couture from getting back to his feet.
King works a leg free and moves into half guard.

Couture's coaches at London MMA Club have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position.
Couture is trying to stand up here but King is controlling him well.
King uses his free foot to push down on Couture's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Couture.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Couture gets cracked with a nice right hand there by King.
King throws a shot from downtown. Couture moves away and avoids it.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from King.
King tries to score a power double leg takedown but Couture sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten King somewhat.
King shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

It looks like Devon King has been cut.
King closes this distance looking for a takedown but Couture circles away.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and as King loses concentration momentarily, Couture counters with a picture perfect head kick! King goes down, out cold! The referee rushed in to check on his condition - I'm sure he'll be ok but that was a massive knockout!
