Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Carlos Muzi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leboj Jedan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jedan avoids a punch combination nicely.

It looks like Carlos Muzi has been cut.

Jedan shoots in for a takedown but Muzi shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Muzi looks to score with a jab to the body but Jedan is just out of range.

Muzi lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Jedan circles away quickly and effectively.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Muzi tries to bum rush Jedan with a series of wild strikes but Jedan uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Leboj Jedan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Muzi gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Muzi is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Jedan is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Jedan is nestled in close to Muzi, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Muzi on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Muzi tries to get out of the position.
Jedan takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Jedan connects with a nice short shot to Muzi's temple.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
