The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burn misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
De Veers tries to close the distance and clinch but Burn swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Burn fails to land the takedown.
De Veers tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Burn paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Jan De Veers has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Noah Burn.
De Veers throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Burn looks for a takedown but De Veers sprawls well.

Burn fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

De Veers clinches up with Burn and pushes him back against the cage.

and De Veers counters with a big head kick but Burn shrugs it off.
Burn looks to land a combination but De Veers avoids it well.

De Veers has Burn pushed against the cage.
De Veers struggles to land a body shot inside as Burn controls his hands.

De Veers manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

De Veers has Burn pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. De Veers pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Burn tumbling to the mat - De Veers dives into Burn's guard.
