Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Emile Heskey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Connor McGregoat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Connor McGregoat is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Emile Heskey! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Connor McGregoat! The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Anni Minnemäki and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. McGregoat keeps the fight on the outside. Heskey wants to clinch but McGregoat slips to the side and McGregoat counters with a head kick. That will keep Heskey thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Heskey rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and McGregoat counters with a body kick. Heskey tries to grapple but his opponent circles and McGregoat counters with a nice body kick. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Heskey closes the distance but McGregoat moves to the side and McGregoat counters with a big head kick but Heskey shrugs it off.
That's one minute gone in the round. Heskey throws a predictable looking body shot
and McGregoat finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body. Heskey misses with an uppercut
and McGregoat counters with a nice body kick.
McGregoat has tried to improve his agility in the runup to this fight. Heskey tries to clinch up and McGregoat counters with a big head kick but Heskey shrugs it off.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Heskey tries to clinch but McGregoat moves away and McGregoat finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body. Heskey tries to clinch up but McGregoat circles away and keeps his distance. Heskey wants to clinch up but McGregoat keeps it at a distance. Heskey misses with a hook to the body
and McGregoat counters with a good, hard body kick but Heskey shrugs it off.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Heskey has closed the distance and engaged McGregoat in a clinch.
Heskey lands with a short shot to the head. Heskey lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. McGregoat tries to score a body lock takedown but Heskey shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Heskey lands an uppercut. McGregoat goes for a takedown attempt but Heskey pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Heskey is looking to clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Heskey tries to clinch and McGregoat counters with a head kick. Heskey fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with McGregoat, pushing him back against the cage. Heskey tries to break free but McGregoat pushes him back against the cage. Both guys are working to get underhooks. McGregoat has Heskey pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Heskey manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Emile Heskey has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Connor McGregoat. Heskey scores with a shot to the side of McGregoat's head. McGregoat goes for a takedown in the clinch but Heskey prevents it.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. McGregoat has picked Heskey up - he's going for a ride! McGregoat dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! McGregoat is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. McGregoat thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. McGregoat working Heskey over with strikes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Connor McGregoat dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
McGregoat keeps the fight on the outside. A lazy left from Heskey finds it's target.
It looks like Connor McGregoat has been cut. Heskey tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. McGregoat manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Heskey throws a poor cross that misses
and McGregoat counters with a big head kick but Heskey shrugs it off. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Heskey is looking to clinch but McGregoat is avoiding it.

That's one minute gone in the round. Heskey wants to clinch up but McGregoat keeps it at a distance. Heskey has managed to clinch.
Heskey prevents a takedown attempt there.
Heskey is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. A nice right hand lands inside from Heskey. Heskey's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Heskey successfully pulls guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. McGregoat postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. McGregoat loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. McGregoat missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. McGregoat is in close to Heskey's body, working some short punches and elbows. McGregoat is working Heskey over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. McGregoat lands a couple of elbows. Heskey knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for McGregoat on the ground. Heskey preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. McGregoat stops Heskey from standing up. McGregoat content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. McGregoat lands a couple of elbows. McGregoat scores with a decent looking elbow strike. McGregoat is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McGregoat working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Heskey's head. Connor McGregoat has got the better of the ground game so far. McGregoat throwing strikes from guard but Heskey blocks nicely. McGregoat postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. McGregoat keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Heskey's head. McGregoat scores with a decent looking elbow strike. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as McGregoat accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. McGregoat postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Heskey is rocked! McGregoat with a nice head shot there. Oh Heskey is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. McGregoat cracks Heskey with a solid left hand. McGregoat distracts Heskey with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. McGregoat arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Heskey's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Connor McGregoat! A very excited looking Connor McGregoat rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
