Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sebastian Mayo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jurgen Wexler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sebastian Mayo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jurgen Wexler! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Cecil Peabody and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wexler wants to clinch. Mayo has his takedown stuffed and Wexler counters by moving into the clinch. Wexler manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Wexler wants to sweep here but Mayo controlling him for the moment. Wexler is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Mayo throws a big right hand that misses. Wexler looking to hit a scissor sweep but Mayo is one step ahead there. Mayo loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wexler trying to control the position.
Mayo stops Wexler from standing up. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wexler is pulling down on Mayo's head. It's preventing any offense from Mayo, at least for the moment.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Mayo drives through with a takedown into Wexler's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Mayo working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Wexler's head. Wexler keeping moving, preventing Mayo from controlling successfully. Mayo postures up in Wexler's guard and throws a big left but Wexler blocks it. Wexler working a defensive guard but Mayo manages to pass into side control anyway.
Both fighters take a look at the clock.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wexler gets back to half guard. Mayo is trying to work for a kimura but Wexler is defending well.
Wexler regains full guard. Nicely done. Mayo wants to control from the top but Wexler keeps moving. Mayo postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mayo tries to stand but Wexler is controlling from the bottom. Mayo decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Wexler, up you get! Mayo avoids the head kick by Wexler.
Wexler shoots for a takedown but Mayo saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Mayo will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Wexler tries to score a power double leg takedown but Mayo sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Wexler somewhat. Mayo fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Wexler tries to move into range but Mayo moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mayo closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Wexler to the mat! Wexler manages to get full guard. Mayo will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Wexler is trying to keep Mayo in close.
Mayo wanted to stand there but Wexler had control of the position. Wexler working a defensive guard here.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Mayo stands up from guard. Let's bang! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mayo is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Wexler can do to turn this around? Wexler with a lazy takedown attempt and Mayo counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Mayo. Wexler utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Mayo working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Wexler's head. Mayo stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Wexler swivels though and keeps the full guard. Mayo stopping the sweep attempt from Wexler. Mayo gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mayo fails with an attempt to clinch.

Wexler tries to clinch and Mayo counters with a series of strikes. Wexler will be more careful next time no doubt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wexler goes for a double leg but Mayo avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Mayo continues to drive forward. Mayo gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Wexler.
Sebastian Mayo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jurgen Wexler. Wexler is breathing heavily. Wexler escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
A left lands for Mayo. Wexler throws a push kick but Mayo slaps the foot to one side. Wexler fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Mayo sprawls well initially but Wexler persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Mayo is not content to let Wexler control the position. Mayo makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Mayo.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mayo is looking to stand up but Wexler isn't so interested in that idea. Mayo not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Mayo is controlling Wexler's posture. Mayo keeping moving, preventing Wexler from controlling successfully. Wexler must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Mayo has control of Wexler's left arm, preventing Wexler from doing any damage. Mayo wants to sweep here but Wexler controlling him for the moment. Wexler wants to control from the top but Mayo keeps moving.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Wexler tries to score a power double leg takedown but Mayo sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Wexler somewhat.

Mayo shoots in and gets a takedown into Wexler's guard. Mayo got a little sloppy there for a moment and Wexler has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Mayo has managed to get both his arms back between Wexler's legs - danger averted. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mayo is looking to work some ground and pound but Wexler has wrist control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mayo is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Mayo is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Mayo pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Wexler is keeping the position for now. Wexler keeping moving, preventing Mayo from controlling successfully. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Mayo is really struggling to control Wexler but he's trying to hold on to the position. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mayo lands a nice hook to Wexler's body. Wexler takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Wexler shoots in looking for a takedown. Mayo tries to sprawl out of it but Wexler keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Mayo manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Wexler changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Mayo tries to avoid it but Wexler manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Mayo to the ground. Mayo escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Wexler is defended easily by Mayo. Sebastian Mayo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jurgen Wexler. Wexler gets caught napping as Mayo dives in and scores a takedown. Wexler manages to retain guard. Wexler takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mayo has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Wexler is proving hard to escape from. Wexler utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mayo trying to stand up but can't free himself from Wexler's guard. Wexler is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Mayo presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat. Mayo prevents a takedown attempt there.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. Mayo wants to break the clinch but can't.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Mayo trying to control the position from guard on top but Wexler is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Mayo wants to stand but Wexler has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Mayo sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Wexler's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mayo is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wexler is looking to improve his position.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Wexler fails to land the takedown. Good exchange - Mayo coming out on top. Mayo closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Wexler tries to get back to half guard but can't. Mayo working the ground and pound from side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mayo throws a strike aimed at the side of Wexler's head but Wexler avoids it well. Mayo has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Mayo fails in his attempt to clinch. Wexler throws a lazy body kick and Mayo counters with a left to the body. Wexler tries to clinch there but Mayo circles away.
The crowd cheers as Mayo lands an impressive looking overhand right. Wexler doesn't seem phased though. Mayo is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Mayo fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Wexler, pushing him back against the cage. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Wexler breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Jurgen Wexler has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Sebastian Mayo is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Mayo misses with a double jab.
And that's the end of the fight! Sebastian Mayo showed his dominance in that final round. Well Mayo has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
