The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Guy misses with a wild body shot.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Guy preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Guy on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Guy tries to get out of the position.
Guy has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Wrynn has passed into side control.
Guy sneaks back into half guard.
Guy has his hands clasped together around Wrynn's back. He's all about the action.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Wrynn works his foot free and advances to mount.

Wrynn wants to control the pace but Guy is squirming around nicely.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Wrynn wants to control the pace but Guy is squirming around nicely.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Guy is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Guy tries to hold on but Wrynn pushes him away.

Wrynn tries to control but Guy wriggling away.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Guy is working to get back to half guard.

A close round but Varian Wrynn will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

and Guy connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Guy lands a slapping body shot.
Wrynn will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Wrynn walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Wrynn stalks Guy and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Guy's face. Guy staggers backwards, shaken.
Guy keeps the fight on the outside.
Wrynn scores with a three punch combo!
Wrynn misses with a series of wild punches.
Wrynn walks into a left hand.
Varian Wrynn seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Wrynn closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Wrynn misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
A punch combination from Guy misses.
Guy just misses with a punch to the body.
Wrynn is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Wrynn moves forwards but Guy connects with a nice, crisp jab.

Wrynn is rocked!
Guy jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Wrynn is still on wobbly legs! Can Guy finish him?
A telegraphed right hand from Guy misses the target.
Wrynn get stunned by a cross and takes another one on the button. Wrynn stumbles backwards and tries to bounce back off the cage but Guy runs in and jumps on him with a leaping lead hook that puts him out! Wow, that was highlight reel stuff! Awesome finish!
