The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kincaid drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Kincaid throws a shot from downtown. Richards moves away and avoids it.
The crowd cheers as Richards lands an impressive looking overhand right. Kincaid doesn't seem phased though.
We've been informed that Richards has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Kincaid throws a head kick but Richards moves out of range.
Kincaid misses with a body kick.
Richards thows a body kick. Kincaid tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Richards scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Richards avoids a kick to the body.
Richards throws a big shot that misses.
Richards throws a head kick but Kincaid moves out of range.

Kincaid throws a left and a right that both miss
and Richards counters with an inside leg kick.
Kincaid throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Richards sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Kincaid missing with a left hand there. Richards was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Richards throws a sloppy head kick and Kincaid moves out of range easily.
Kincaid fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Kincaid has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

Richards bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Kincaid managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Richards.
Kincaid is trying to get back to half guard.
Richards misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
Kincaid takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Kincaid is not content to let Richards control the position.
Richards in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
Richards has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
