Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kenta Kobashi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sheng Chung Lin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kobashi kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is DJ Krush - Kemuri. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Russell Pearce and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kobashi uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Lin.
Lin slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Kobashi throws a head kick but Lin moves out of range.
Kobashi scores with the left hand. Lin knows he should have avoided that one.

Kobashi dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Lin. That did some damage!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Lin does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

and Lin counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Kobashi!

Lin seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Kobashi is trying to maintain the position but Lin is very close to passing his half guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Kobashi gets back to full guard.
Kobashi keeping moving, preventing Lin from controlling successfully.
Lin postures up and lands a big shot to Kobashi's brow.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Lin takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

A close round but Sheng Chung Lin will probably get the nod.

Kobashi throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Lin on the side of the head.

Lin throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Kobashi crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Lin - the referee stops the clock and Kobashi gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Lin. Kobashi manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Lin lands with a hook. Kobashi tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Lin working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well.

That was a close second round but I would say that Kenta Kobashi will probably get the nod.
