Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Peter Branson and Michael Johnstone.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Papadopulus scores with a head kick.
JJ Lycka seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Papadopulus tries to sprawl but Lycka drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Lycka performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
Lycka thows a huge punch but Papadopulus dodges it nicely.
Lycka has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Papadopulus is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Lycka scores with a couple of nice shots.

Lycka slips a nice elbow through Papadopulus's hands, connecting with Papadopulus's forehead.

Lycka wants to pass to mount but Papadopulus is defending the position.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Lycka looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Papadopulus with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lycka is nestled in close to Papadopulus, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Lycka throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Lycka seems to be working for a kimura but Papadopulus defends the submission attempt.
Lycka lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Papadopulus has hold of Lycka's hands but Lycka slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Lycka is looking for a kimura but Papadopulus is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Lycka to get the leverage.

Lycka is working for a submission of some sort.
Lycka looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Lycka scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
We've been informed that Lycka has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Papadopulus tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Lycka has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
Papadopulus in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
Oh Papadopulus is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Oooooh, big shot lands for Lycka! Papadopulus is hurt baaadly! Lycka is firing away with more strikes - Papadopulus is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
