The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Freitas fails with a takedown attempt.
No luck for Freitas with that takedown attempt.
Freitas doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Sweet counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Beau Sweet has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Wendel Freitas.

Sweet takes the fight into the clinch.
Sweet changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Freitas fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Freitas shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Sweet's guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Sweet keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Freitas has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Sweet clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Sweet tries to lock up and control but Freitas gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Freitas is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Freitas wants to finish this one by submission but Sweet is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Freitas.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Sweet is squirming around, avoiding Freitas's attempts to control the action.
