Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Anderson Battle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Richie Dekkers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dekkers is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: 2 steps from hell. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Anderson Battle! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Richie Dekkers! The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, William Gold and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Battle avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Dekkers tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Battle counters with a series of strikes. Dekkers will be more careful next time no doubt. Dekkers moves to clinch but Battle breaks away and Battle counters with a one-two to the body. Dekkers rushes Battle and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Battle jumps guard but Dekkers turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Battle is trying to pull guard but Dekkers has him pressed against the cage. Dekkers gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. Battle could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Dekkers lands an elbow just above Battle 's eye. Battle tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Battle is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Dekkers to keep the fight standing. Dekkers unloads a knee to the mid-section. This has been an exciting period of action! If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Dekkers stands up from Battle's guard - Dekkers perhaps looking for a knockout. Dekkers tries to close the distance and clinch up but Battle swats him away and circles back towards the center. Dekkers shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Battle napping and manages to drive through into side control! Battle taking punishment in the form of punches.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Dekkers stands up. Dekkers moves in looking to clinch but Battle pushes him off. Richie Dekkers seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Dekkers gets the takedown into side control. Dekkers scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Battle to see if he's OK. Dekkers creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Battle sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Dekkers decides to stand up, so the ref orders Battle to his feet. Dekkers clinches with his opponent.

Battle uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Dekkers's guard. Nice move by Battle!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dekkers wants to stand but Battle is controlling the position. Battle chips away with some ground and pound. Battle stands up from guard. Let's bang! Battle dives in and grabs Dekkers's left leg, looking for a takedown. Dekkers pushes down on Battle's head and hops out. Battle fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Dekkers, pushing him back against the cage. Battle jumps guard but Dekkers turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Battle managing to block the knees to the body from Dekkers.

Richie Dekkers dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Battle gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Dekkers lands a couple of elbows. Dekkers wants to control from the top but Battle keeps moving. Dekkers throws a strike but Battle rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Dekkers wants to stand and escape but Battle is having none of it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Battle stands up from Dekkers's guard - Battle perhaps looking for a knockout. Dekkers darts in trying to clinch and Battle counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Dekkers is lucky that one didn't land flush. Anderson Battle is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Dekkers stands over his opponent and dives in with a flying punch! Battle throws up his legs and catches Dekkers in a triangle! Oh this looks tight! Dekkers tries to escape but he's forced to tap! Wow, fantastic work there by Battle! That came out of nowhere!
