Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Gunnar Olsson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Allie Potratz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Olsson comes into the arena with Till I collapse blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Gunnar Olsson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Allie Potratz! The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Edson Gomes and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Potratz tries to clinch but Olsson is having none of it. Potratz tries to clinch but Olsson moves out of range. A chopping leg kick lands by Potratz. Olsson closes this distance looking for a takedown but Potratz circles away. Olsson feints and as Potratz raises his hands in defense, Olsson changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Olsson wants to control from the top but Potratz keeps moving. Potratz wants to sweep but no luck. Olsson postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Olsson slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Potratz misses with an attempted mid kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Olsson closes this distance looking for a takedown but Potratz circles away. Potratz's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Potratz duly obliges. Nice straight punches there by Potratz. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Potratz.
Olsson is rocked! Potratz wants to clinch up but Olsson keeps it at a distance. Oh Olsson is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Potratz moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage! Potratz darts in and clinches Olsson up against the cage. Potratz breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Olsson drives through with a takedown into guard. Olsson controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Potratz is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Olsson is controlling him. Olsson working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Some wild striking there from Potratz.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Olsson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Potratz as he avoids it easily. Horrible takedown by Olsson or perhaps it was just good defense by Potratz which made him look bad. Potratz scores with a punch to the head. Potratz tries to clinch there but Olsson circles away.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Olsson is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Olsson is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Potratz defends it well. Olsson scoring with strikes to the body and head. Potratz is not content to let Olsson control the position. Olsson trying to mount his opponent but Potratz defends it. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Olsson wants to take a breather but Potratz is having none of it. Olsson lands with a punch from half guard. Olsson is thwarting Potratz's attempts to control the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Allie Potratz dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Potratz is looking to clinch. Olsson tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Potratz misses with a wild body shot. Olsson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Olsson changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Potratz looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. A bit of a lull in the action here. Potratz wants to get back to his feet but Olsson drags him back down. Olsson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Potratz keeps working. Olsson goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Potratz rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Olsson's guard! Nice work there by Potratz!

Potratz won't allow Olsson to sweep him here. Olsson had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Potratz is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Olsson Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Potratz's back instead. Olsson trying to control momentarily.

Olsson looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Olsson is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard. Olsson works a leg free and moves into half guard. Olsson wants to take a breather but Potratz is having none of it. Olsson is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Potratz! Potratz keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Potratz uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Olsson's guard. Nice move by Potratz! Olsson looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Potratz puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
