Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Steve Staunton!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Anthony Taglia and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Micheli takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Staunton jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Micheli is looking to clinch but Staunton is avoiding it.
Micheli tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Micheli looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Steve Staunton seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Staunton fails with a takedown attempt.
Micheli tries to close the distance and clinch but Staunton swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Micheli tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Staunton paws at him with a jab and circles away.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Staunton.
Staunton shoots for a double leg takedown but Micheli sprawls well. He's pushed Staunton's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Franco Micheli has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Steve Staunton.
Staunton listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Staunton shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Micheli but Micheli pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Staunton throws a lazy right hand but Micheli sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Micheli moves in looking to clinch but Staunton pushes him off.
Staunton fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Micheli to the ground. Staunton is now in Micheli's guard.
Staunton trying to control the position from guard on top but Micheli is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Staunton stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Micheli swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Staunton scoring with some ground and pound.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Staunton postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Micheli is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Staunton has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Staunton looking to pass the guard.
Staunton stands up over Micheli, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Staunton postures up in Micheli's guard and throws a big left but Micheli blocks it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Staunton makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Micheli keeping full guard, as Staunton tries to pass.
Staunton slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Micheli wants to get back to his feet.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Staunton trying to control the action but Micheli is working from the bottom.
Staunton advances nicely into full mount.
Staunton lands a heavy elbow.
Staunton looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Micheli knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Staunton on the ground.
Micheli is trying to stand up.
Staunton trying to control but Micheli is having none of it.
Staunton scoring with strikes but Micheli is staying in there.
Micheli takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Staunton's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
