And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rudy Von Petro!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Franklyn Lucas and Columbo Gatti.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva throws a chopping leg kick but Von Petro manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Von Petro shoots in for a takedown but Silva shows good takedown defense.
Silva throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.

Silva tries to sprawl but Von Petro drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Silva really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Silva is looking for a sweep. Von Petro is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Von Petro takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Von Petro lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Silva wants to sweep but Von Petro has passed to side control!
Silva knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Von Petro on the ground.
Silva can't do much from the bottom here.
Silva on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Silva tries to get out of the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Von Petro in side control lands a decent elbow.
Von Petro trying to control the action but Silva is working from the bottom.
Silva wants to control but Von Petro postures up.

Von Petro cracks Silva with an elbow. That is naaassty.

Von Petro has hold of Silva's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Silva seems comfortable defending it but Von Petro has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Silva is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Silva is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Von Petro couldn't care less - he's delighted!
