The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
WO shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Romano napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Romano tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but WO wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
WO is trying to get an arm triangle but Romano is defending well.
Romano struggling a bit here.
WO is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Romano has escaped the position, nice work there.
Romano tries to escape but WO is in control.
Romano sneaks back into half guard.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
WO maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Romano could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but WO has cracked it and Romano is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by WO!
